On January 9, the first turbine for CTG’s 150 MW wind power project in Haicheng, Liaoning Province, was hoisted. With 24 turbines of 6.25 MW capacity each, the project is expected to generate over 300 million kWh of clean energy annually, saving 100,000 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by about 270,000 tonnes.
The project is led by China Three Gorges Renewables, a subsidiary of CTG. Once completed, the project will play a crucial role in bolstering power supply reliability and facilitating the development of a new energy system.
